- In order to provide medical assistance upon return, to diagnose health problems possibly incurred during the journey, and to periodically check individuals who spend extended periods in countries or regions where the risk of disease is high.
- For prescription of vaccines, namely yellow fever vaccine to be carried out in the NHS.
